SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION OF RANCHO SECO
This letter refers to the routine inspection conducted by Mr. C. Ramsey of
this office on December 28-30, 1987, and on January 27-28,.1988, of activities
_
authorized by NRC License No. DPR-54, and to the discussion'<of findings held
with Mr. Tipton and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the
inspection.
The inspection was an examination of-your corrective actions on previously
identified open items relating to fire protection. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and
representative records, interviews with personnel, and_ observations by the
inspector. Based on comments by your staff at the exit meeting, it is our
understanding that the corrective actions you have taken on the concerns
raised by the inspector prior to restart have been completed. Your corrective
actions for post restart items will be reviewed during a subsequent
inspection.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified within the scope-of this
inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosures
will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
