E.N.-80-65 October 20, 1980 Rev. A 10.5.10.1.4.-2 Summary of Existing Plans or Services Rendered The Nuclear Incident Advisory Team (NIAT) plan provides for the notification of needed state or federal assistance in the event of an emergency.
The plan interfaces with the TI Attleboro HFIR Project Emergency Organization by responding to an emergency call.
The NIAT plan provides for the notification and activation of various specialized facilities, equipment, and personnel required to respond to a radiological emergency.

Such assistance can be requested at all times by calling 516-MS-2200 and asking for radiological assistance indicating the nature of the incident, the loc ~a t i on, and how to contact authorities to coordinate our response.
The Department of 1:ne r gy (DOE) will respond to requests for radiological assistance from licensees. Federal, state and local agenc ies, private organizations, or individuals involved in or cognizant of an incident believed to involve source, hyproduct, or special nuclear material as defined by the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, or other tonizing radfation sources.

The United States Department of Energy Radiation Assistance Program (RAP) plan provides necessary federal assistance in the event of a radiological emergency.
Interfacing of the RAP Emergency Plan and the TI Attleboro HFIR Project Emergency Plan

RAP acts in an advisory capacity at the request of the HFIR Prciect Emergency Coordinator.

Nuclear Facility Accidents In the event of a radiological accident or incident The City of Attleboro, office of Civil Defense would activate The Eme'rgency Operating Center (E.0.C.) located at 25 South Main Street.
From the E.O.C. the Mayor, Gerald J. Keane and Director Willlam R. Rollinson would coordinate multiple services operation, request outside assistance as necessary, and implement emergency public information broadcasts to inform the public on actions to be taken.
The Attleboro Civil Defense will cooperate with Texas Instruments supervisory personnel and other appropriate personnel.
In the event of such an emergency all The City of Attleboro's reucurces would be used.
In the event that person's may have to be evacuated from your area the Civil Defense Director would provide an evacuation s.ite.
Thank you for your cooperation and I look forward to working with you in the future to insure the safety of your personnel and The Citizen's of The City of Attleboro.

It provides for the activation of the City's Emergency Operating Center for the coordination of local services (police, fire, hospital, radiation monitoring, movement of public, etc.).
