M98048) i Dear Mr. Cross-l l The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 204 to Facility I 0)erating License No. DPR-66 for the Beaver Valley Power Station. Unit No. 1.

! T11s amendment consists of changes to the Technical Specifications (TSs) in I response to your application dated February 27. 1997, which submitted Proposed l Operating License Change Request No. 241.

The amendment changes Technical Specification (TS) 5.3.1.2.a to increase the ,

l max' um allowable U-235 enrichment of new fuel assemblies in the new fuel I storage racks to 5.0 weight percent with a tolerance of +0.05 weight percent.

and modifies TS 5.3.1.2.c to increase the maximum allowable K,,, to less than or equal to 0.98 for moderation by aqueous foam.

! A copy of the related Safety Evaluation is also enclosed. The Notice of j Issuance will be published in the Federal Register.
