Thank you for your response of April 15, 1997, to our Notice of Violation ,

issued on March 17, 1997, concerning activities conducted at your Catawba '

facility. We have evaluated your response to Violation 50-413.414/97-03-01.

and found that it meets the requirements of 10 CFR 2.201. We will examine the

implementation of your corrective actions during future inspections.

Regarding your response to Violation 50-413.414/97-03-02, we are currently

evaluating your basis for denial. We will inform you of the results of our

evaluaton under separate correspondence.
