This

in response to your request dated December 13, 1978 for delaying the start of your next physical inventory from December 20, 1978 tu December 27, 1978.

We have determined that your proposed schedule is within the intent of 10 CFR 70.51(e)(3), and will not endanger the common defenre and security, and is otherwise in the public interest. Accordingly, we are hereby granting a limited exemption from the requirements of 10 CFR 70.51(e)(3).

We a rs., therefore, revising Amendment MPP-1 to your License No.

SM-33, effective immediately, by adding a new Condition 5.2 to read as fcilows:

5.2 In lieu of starting a physical inventory on the Wednesday pi eceding the next-to-the-last Thursday in December, the licensee shall start his physical inventory of all special nuclear material in his possession on or before December 27,

Succeeding physical inventories will revert to the easting schedule shown in his Fundamental Nuclear Material Centrol Plan.
