Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant - Unit 1 Stroke Times for Power Operated Valves in the Second Ten-Year Interval Inservice Testing Program A meeting was held on August 25 and 26, 1987 at Farley Nuclear Plant to review the Second Ten-Year Interval IST Program with the NRC.
During this meeting, Alabama Power Company agreed to submit a list of full-stroke times for all power operated valves requiring stroke timing by the subject program. his was documented in Item 2 of Alabama Power Company's letter of September 30, 1987.
Attached for the NRC's information is the subject list which provides the maximum full-stroke time values which are intended for use in performing inservice testing to the requirements of the ASME Code,Section XI.
h is list includes values, where appropriate, for all motor and air operated valves which are within the program scope and l
l which require stroke time measurement. Solenoid operated valves were not included since their full-stroke times are already covered in the IST Program under the valve general relief request VG-1.

Individual valve maximum stroke times are not included in the IST Program because they may require revision over the life of the plant due to modifications. 'Ihese values are provided for information purposes only and are not considered an addendum to the IST Program.
Since Section XI, IW-3413(a) permits the limiting value of
' full-stroke time for each power operated valve to be specified by the owner, stroke times will be revised as necessary to remain consistent with plant operating and. design requirements.
