COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION DOCKET NOS. 50-445 AND 50-446 IMPROPER APPLICATION OF CONSTRUCTION AIDS SDAR: CP-87-59 (SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT)
Gentlemen:
On September 21, 1987, we notified you by our letter logged TXX-6750 of a deficiency involving improper application of construction aids which we deemed reportable under the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e).
This report is submitted to update our corrective action completion schedule.
In our latest report on this issue (TXX-6750), we noted that in each instance where the T-1W and T-11W fittings have been employed, Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) would be issued and fittings rcplaced with field fabricated fittings through Der,ign Change Authorizations (DCAs) or other approved CPSES program i
documents.
Any deficiencies concerning rung spacing would be documented and corrected during fitting replacement. We further noted the replacement of the cable tray fittings would be completed by March 1, 1988.
The replacement of the Unit 1 and Common Area cable tray fittings has been rescheduled for completion commensurate with the schedule for the Post Construction Hardware Validation Program (PCHVP)', currently scheduled-for August 11, 1988. Replacement of the Unit 2 cable tray. fittings will be completed prior to Unit 2 fuel loading.
