Catawba Nuclear Station, Unit 2 Docket No. 50-414 Steam Generator Tube Inspection Gentlemen:
Pursuant to Technical Specification 4.4.5.5.a and 6.9.2, please be advised that an inservice inspection of Catawba Nuclear Station Unit 2 Steam Generators A, B, C, and D was completed on February 12, 1988.
Tubes 15-77, 24-67, 49-39, and 49-54 were removed from service in Steam Generator A for indications exceeding the Tech-nical Specification 3/4.4.5 plugging limit.
Tube 41-20 in Steam Generator B was removed from service for an indication exceeding the Technical Specification plug-ging limit. Tubes 43-62 and 49-64 were also removed from service in Steam Genera-tor D for indications exceeding the Technical Specification plugging limit.
All tubes were removed from service by plugging with rolled mechanical plugs.
Further information will be provided prior to February 29, 1989, pursuant to Technical Specification 4.4.5.5.b.
