'Ihis report is in conformance with the requirements of Regulatory Ibsitica C.3.b of Regulatory Guide 1.108.

1. %e diesel generator involved was 3G003.
2. mis failure was the first in the last 100 valid tests.
3. %e cause of the failure was a faulty relay which actuates the radiator fan autcmatically upon a start of the dieral.
4. S e faulty relay was replaced, and an analysis will be performed to determine !

the root cause of the failure. If any (*urther corrective actions are warranted as a result of this evaluation, a supplemental report will be subnitted.

5. Se diesel generator was not available for operation frun 2305 on 12/9/87 to 1715 on 12/11/87.
6. Se surveillance test interval remains at 31 days.
7. %e above surveillance test interval is in conformance with the schedule of Regulatory Position C.2.d of Regulatory Guide 1.108. {
