Sequoyah Nuclear Plant, Units 1 ano 2 The Comission has issueo the enclosed Amendment No. 64 to Facility Operating License t;o. OPR-77 end Amendment ho. 56 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-79 for +Ae Sequoyal fuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2, respectively.
These amendments are ir respor.se to your applicetton dated August 11, ~.087.
The amendments increase tr.e diesel generator continuous and two-hour ratings in the surveillance requirements.
The staff notes that the higher ratings are needed to accormodate worst-case leading conditions for Unit 2 based on analyses assuming Unit I to be in a cold shutdown condition.
Prior to resurption of two unit operation, a revised analysis of diesel generator loading capacity will be needed to confirm that the load limits en the diesels are within manufacturer rating 5 and consistent with the surveillance test values approved hereir.
