Subject: Inspection Report No. 50-271/87-23
This refers to the routine resident safety inspection conducted by Mr. G. Grant
of this office on December 22, 1987 - February 8, 1988, at the Vermont Yankee
Nuclear Power Station, Vernon, Vermont. The inspection consisted of observa-
tion of activities, interviews with personnel and document reviews. The
results of the inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspection Report
enclosed with this latter and were discussed with Mr. J. Pelletier of your
staff on February 19, 1988.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were identified.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2,790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice", a copy of
this letter and the enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
