Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection conducted by Messrs. I. Barnes, L. E. Ellershaw,-
and R. G. Taylor of this office during the period January 11-15, 1988, of
activities authorized by NRC Operating License ORP-40 for the Fort Calhoun
Station, and to.the discussion of our findings with Messrs. W. G. Gates and
L. Kusek and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during the inspection included review of your quality assurance
program including implementation with respect to control of records and
documents, procurement controls, and receiving inspection of materials and
components.
A review was .also performed of inservice inspection data and
records. . Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective ex. amination
of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and
observations by the NRC inspectors.
The inspection findings are documented in
the enclosed inspection report.
Within the scope of the inspection, no violations'or deviations were
identified.
