Dear Mr. Nussbaumer:

I respectfully request the extension of Special Nuclear Material License No. SNM-1050 which expires on December 31, 1978. This special nuclear material (190 Kg of U-235 as contained in SPERT F-1 type fuel rods) is used in the University of Florida SPERT Assembly.
This facility is being used in our teaching activities (laboratory courses) and in those aspects of our research programs oriented to the nuclear fuel cycle.
The special nuclear material is being used in accordance with the statements, representations and conditions specified in our license applications dated June 5, October 11 and December 1,1967; February 20 March 12, May 10 and July 12, 1968; November 25, 1969, November 22, 1971 and November 30, 1973.
If any additional information is required in support of this request, please let me know.
