Ell Stark Gold Hill, Co Dear Mr. Felton RE:
FOIA-78-179
( Atlas Minerals Uranium Mill. Moab, UT)
We have reviewed the copious materials your office deposited with Auraria Libraries in Denver and have found them to be of considerable interest.
We certain-ly appreciate the time and effort to which your staff must have gone to compile this information and thank you for' making it available.
However, there is some additional information which we would like, if it is available:
1)
Draft and final environmental impact statements and comments regarding the mill and associated facilities, including tailings disposal sites.
2)
Any other information which you may have concerning worker health and safety conditions, violations of health and safety regulations at the site, particular-ly ones which have occurred since January 1, 1977, and information concerning cooperation, if any, between your agency and the Utah' State Division of Health to ensure that workers at this mill are adequately protected against radiation and other hazards.
We are also interested in what organization does the laboratory tests when it is thought that workers may have been contaminated and what checks exist for the adequacy of these tests.
3)
Any court records your office has not already sent concerning the fine levied against the mill last y%r by the EPA.
RE:
FOIA-78-244 (Fort St. Vrain Nuclear Power Plant) 1 We thank you for your prompt response to this request.
Unfortunately, because of time and transportation limitations, the Greeley Public Library is relatively inaccessible to members of our steering committee, and we as yet have been 781318b4 3

We are 'in _ the process of trying to arrange an interlibrary loan of the material to Auraria Libraries in Denver, so that it will be more conveniently located for a few days.
However, a reading of the index which you sent us does not seem to indicate that information regarding control of the reactor's temperature oscillations and mechanical vibrations by varying the ^ helium pressure has been included.
We would appreciate your sending that' report, as well as anything else that would update your answer to the above-captioned FOIA request.
We commend your cooperation in the past and look forward to your response to this letter.
