In accordance with your application dated November 20,1978, and pursuant to Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 70, Special Nuclear Material License No. SNM-1227 is hereby amended to authorize storage of packaged fuel awaiting shipment.
Accordingly, page I-5.45 dated November 20, 1978, shall replace the page of the same number dated December 9, 1975.
Furthermore, to ensure a clear understanding of the safety basis for the stored fuel, the following condition is added to your license:
- 20. The packaging and storage of fuel awaiting shipment as described in paragraph I-5.9.4 shall be in accordance with approvals issued pursuant to 10 CFR 71.
Fissile Class II and III packages (shipments) shall be isolated by at least twenty (20) feet from other fissile materials.
The above condition was discussed and agreed upon by your Dr. R. Nilson and R. Stevenson of my staff.
All other conditions of this license shall remain the same.
