Would you be interested in participating in ISAP II? If so, in what time frame?
Yankee Response - Yankee is not interested in participating in the ISAP II Program, at this time. However, we will closely monitor -
the experiences of utilities participating in the program and will reassess'our position after we gain a practical demonstration of how the program will be implemented.
Question 2 -
Do you believe that an industry /NRC seminar consisting of a brief discussion by NRC followed by a question and answer period would be beneficial prior to making a decision?
l Yankee Response - Yankee would be interested in participating in an industry /NRC seminar.
Question 3 -
Would you be interested in a one-on-one meeting with the NRC to discuss your particular facility?
Yankee Response - Yankee is not interested in participating in a one-on-one meeting at this time; however, we would request such a meeting prior to participating in the ISAP II Program.
Question 4 -
If you remain undecided regarding participation, what additional information do you need in order to make a decision?
Yankee Response - Yankee believes that we will gain sufficient information through an industry /NRC seminar and monitoring the experiences of utilities in the ISAP II Program to make our decisions.

Do you have any potential concerns about participating:in
.ISAP II?-
Yankee Response - ' Yankee does have several concerns about participating.in the ISAP II Program. 'The most important one:at this time-is the need expressed by the NRC that the operating license be amended to include ISAP II.
Our recent experience with' a' ten year Systematic Evaluation Program (SEP) raises questions about the practically and efficiency of involving the ISAP II Program in a formal licensing process.
