- 1. The revised procedures have satisfactorily resolved the f!D.C coments contained in the letter of February 24, 1983. The ravised procedures, however, require clarification of the instructions in Section 7.3.1, "Previously Loaded Cask." Step 1 should not address a loaded cask and Steps 3, 4 and 5 are not consistent with the conditions being discussed.
- 2. Step 42 provides instructions relative to nonitoring cask surface temperature prior to shipnent to verify compliance with ti71.43(q).
l The accessible cask surface, when the cask is assembled for shipnent.
