Dear Don,
The Task Action Plan A-45 analyses have reached a point at which a second visit is planned to the St. Lucie Nuclear Power Plant for January 23-24.
It is anticipated that one Sandian and three engineers from United i
Engineers and Constructors will be on the plan visit.
The purpose of the trip is to answer some questions regarding crossties to the Unit 2 systems a=
and operator recovery actions, and to explore some preliminary i
analysis vulnerabilities that the early work has identified.
Specifically, the questions that we have at the moment ace:
e What do plant personnel do if CCW valves HCV 14-8A oc HCV 14-8B fail to close?
Can they manually clost then?
Ate there proceduces?
Is a redundant valve practical for backfit?

e Row does Unit 1 ceceive power from Unit 2 diesel generators?
How much time does it take?
WRAt buses are fed?
e Are AFW motot driven pump feedwatet Valves 09-9 and 09-10 normally closed?
Can they be hand opened?
Could they be left normally open?
Are AFW tutbine driven pump steam supply valves MV-08-13, f
o MV-08-14, and MV-08-03 all powered by DC 125 V bus 1AB?
Could valve MV-08-03 be left open?
Could MV-08-14 be powered by DC 125 V bus 187 e
What would it take to perform a bleed and feed operation?
