This letter refers to the routine inspection conducted by Mr. M. Cillis of
this office on January 16-24, 1986, and telephone calls of February 4, 5. and
19, 1986, of activities authorized by NRC License No. DPR-54, and to the
discussion of our findings held by Mr. Cillis with Mr. G. Coward and other
members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.

Areas examined during this inspection are described in the enclosed inspection
report. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective

examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with

personnel, and observations by the inspector.

Based on the results of this inspection, it appears that one of your
activities was not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements, as set
forth in the Notice of Violation, enclosed herewith as Appendix A.

With respect to Appendix A, Notice of Violation, no response is necessary.in
view of the timely manner in which you corrected the item. We have no further
questions on this matter.
