l SIM1ARY OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE l

l March 1986 l.

At the start of the report period, the unit was in a planned refueling and maintenance outage which was proceeding as scheduled.

As a result of visual inspections and follow up testing on the Main Generator, it was detemined that a nimnber cf generator stator coils required repai r.

The unit was maintained. at Hot Shutdown while effecting repairs to the main generator.

l Af ter completing the steam generator inspection program the unit was taken above Cold Shutdown on 7 March and critical on 12 March 1986.

The zero Power Physics test prograri was completed on 13 March 1986.

On 20 March 1986 there was indication that the reactor vessel flange cuter 0-ring was experiencing leakage.

The inner 0-ring was already known to be leaking.

On 26 March 1986, af ter further investigation and verification of outer 0-ring leakage, the plant was brought to Cold Shutdown and drained down to allow investigation and replacenent of the reactor vessel flange 0-rings.

At the end of the reporting period, the plant was maintained at Cold Shutdown while repairs to the main generator and reactor vessel flange 0-rings were being effected.
