STATUS OF SYSTEMATIC EVALUATION PROGRAM ISSUES (TAC 52514)

Re: La Crosse Boiling Water Reactor The June 1983 Integrated Plant Safety Assessment Report of the la Crosse Boiling Water Reactor (LACBWR) provided (1) an assessment of the significance of differences between current technical positions on safety issues and those that existed when LACBWR was licensed, (21 a basis for deciding how these differences should be resolved, and (31 a documented evaluation of plant safety.

By letter dated August 22, 1984, (Norelius to Eisenhut) Reaion III reported on the status of the corrective action implementation scheaule resulting from the Systematic Evaluation Program (SEP) Integrated Assessment Review.

Additionally, the August 22 letter provided a status of SEP actions and noted that those items listed as open were being tracked as inspection report open items by Region III. The enclosure to this letter shows the current status of these issues. Close put of these items will be made by Region III in subsequent inspection reports.
