ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING THE EXEMPTION FROM THE REQUIREMENTS OF APPENDIX R TO 10 CFR 50 (TAC NO. M94581 AND M94582) 1 By letter dated December 12, 1995, Virginia Electric and Power Company, the licensee for North Anna Power Stations Units 1 and 2, requested an exemption from the requirements of Section III.G.2.f of Appendix R to Part 50 of the Code of Federal Regulations for Thermo-Lag Radiant Energy Heat Shields inside containment.
Subsequent to your conference call with the licensee on August 17, 1996

requesting additional information and our letter dated October 15, 1996 forwarding your requests, we now have the response from the licensee.
Enclosed is the response, dated April 22, 1997, for your review and comments.
