j Modification No. 5 Contract No. NRC-03-85-067 Page 2 Verbal negotiations were held on March 4,1985 concerning the cost proposal between Mr. John Cragin, TES and Ms. Deborah Hawkins, Contract Administrator, NRC. The verbal negotiations are hereby finalized and incorporated into the contract by this modification. Therefore, the above-numbered contract is modified as follows:

Section C - Description / Specification / Work Statement, is revised as follows: Ref: Modification No. 4 C.I.2 entitled Scope of Work, as specified in Attachment A of Modification No. 4 is revised to increase the level-of-effort under Task 5(e). Accordingly, Task 5(e) Revised, shall' read-Task (e) of that RFP described the work requirements as follows:
Conduct an audit of the implementation of Comanche Peak, QA design review activities. This will include comparison of a sample of as-built installations with design configurations for all disciplines. This task

will run from March 12, 1986 through-September 30, 1986, and will require a maximum of 2 audits per month with a staff of 4 engineers per audit.
1 The engineering disciplines will be civil / structural, pipe support, mechanical systems and components, and electrical instrumentation and control. Audits will be conducted at the site in Glen Rose, Texas or at Gibbs and Hill offices in New York City and will last a maximum of 5 days per audit. The estimated level of effort is 320 staff days.
The December 11, 1985 NRC Request increases the level of effort for this task (e) by.5 staff years plus necessary travel expenses. Based on the TES understanding of the effort involved, TES has proposed herein on providing only a supplement of.3 staff years. This additional support is required to address the large number of detailed applicant responses to concerns about the Design Adequacy Program, the Construction Adequacy Program and the Issue Specific Action Plan. This additional effort will involve mechanical, electrical and instrumentation and control systems disciplines.
C.1.3 entitled Schedule and Level of Effort, is revised to extend the completion date of Task 5(e) from August 15, 1986 to September 30, 1986
