Under contract to the:U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC),

the' Mississippi' State Department ' of Health (MSDH), Division'of Radiological Health (DRH) provides environmental. radiological. data to the NRC pertaining to the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station (GGNS),

claiborne County, Mississippi.

Detailed'in'this report are results for Calendar Year 1996 which represent:the sixteenth year of this contract with'the State of

MSDH'and Licensee both detected Co-60 and Tritium in the discharge

' basin surface water, however, this sample point is not normally ,

- reported.
