SUBJECT:
SEMI-ANNUAL BRIEFINGS OF THE DIVISION OF WASTE MANAGEMENT, NMSS, BY THE DIVISION OF REGULATORY APPLICATIONS, RES Every six months I would like to arrange a meeting between the staff of the WMB, DRA, and John Greeves, Director, DWM, to brief him on the current status of those research and technical assistance projects related to low-level waste and decommissioning that are conducted, or monitored, by the WMB. Robert B. Neel, Health Physicist, LLOP, DWM, NMSS, whom I have designated as the point of contact between our Branches, will take the lead in arranging these meetings.
I request that the briefing typically devote no more than five-to-ten minutes to any specific project, and that you send us summary information for each project in the briefing. I would also like a summary for any new projects on these topics that are i
approved by the WMB. Since we plan use the summaries for future reference by members of the DWM staff, I suggest that they include the following information: the name of the project rnanager (or principal investigator), a paragraph or two that describes the project, the deliverables (products), and the due date(s) of the deliverables.
