SOUTH TEXAS PROJECT, UNITS 1 AND 2 - DRAFT AND FINAL

' ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENTS This is to inform you of two decisions made by the staff regardino the Environmental Statements on South Texas Project. The first is that our statements will include consideration of accident risks calculated by using new source term methodology. We will portray such risk using the old as well as the new techniques in the Environmental Statements.

The second decision is to alter the schedule for the Environmental Statements to accommodate our resource constraints as well as the introduction of new infonnation. The following is our current schedule.

New Schedule Old Schedule Draft Environmental Statement November 1985 September 1985 Final Environmental Statement March 1986 February 1986 The next Bevill Schedule will reflect the above changes. Please contact Dr. Prasad Kadambi of my staff if you have any comments.
