This refers to the routine inspection conducted by Mr. D. J. Vito of this

office on November 19-21, 1984, at Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 1 of

activities authorized by NRC License No. DPR-50 and to the discussions of our

findings held by Mr. Vito with Mr. R. Knight at the conclusion of the inspec-

tion.

Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I

Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the

inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative

records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.

Within-the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
