Subject: Combined Inspection Nos. 70-3014/85-01 and 50-423/85-70
This refers to the routine safeguards inspection conducted by Mr. A. Della Ratta
of this office on November 12-15, 1985, at Northeast Utilities Service Company,
Berlin, Connecticut, and Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit 3, Waterford,
Connecticut, of activities authorized by NRC License Nos. SNM-1950 and CPPR-113
and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Della Ratta with Mr. W. D.
Romberg and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the encicsure
