Gentlemen:
This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. D. DuBois of this office during
the period December 1-31, 1985, of activities authorized by NRC Operating
License DPR-46 for Cooper Nuclear Station, and to the discussion of our
findings with Mr. Paul Thomason and other members of your staff at the
conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during the inspection included notification of an unusual event,
operational safety verification, and monthly surveillance and maintenance
observations. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective
examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with
personnel, and observations by the inspector.
These findings are documented in
the enclosed report.
Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were
identified.
An enforcement conference was held with the licensee during this period.
The
conference is discussed in paragraph 2 of the enclosed report.
