Dear Commissioners:

This letter is to extend the deadline for Commission response to the May 3,1984 petition submitted by the Mothers for Peace pursuant to 10 C. F.R. 2.206.

Counsel has received 17 additional statements prepared by or on behalf of witnesses on issues relevant to the petition.

Certain affidavits were disclosed to the staff as they were received.

A formal submittal of the entire package is planned for next week. As a result, the Mothers for Peace extend the response deadline until Friday, June 29, 1984.

If additional time is needed to consider this evidence expeditiously, please contact counsel.

Sincerely, Thomas Devine Counsel Mothers for Peace i
