VERIFICATION LETTER OF THE APPROVAL VERSION OF WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC COMPANY TOPICAL REPORT QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (QMS), REVISION 8.0 (EPID L-2020-TOP-0022)
Dear Ms. Zozula:
By letter dated May 19, 2020 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML20140A288), Westinghouse Electric Company (Westinghouse) submitted to U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) an approval (-A) version of Quality Management System (QMS), Revision 8.0 Topical Report (TR). Westinghouse has done so in accordance with our request to publish an approval non-proprietary version of this TR, as detailed in the transmittal letter of the NRC staffs final safety evaluation (SE) that documented its review of the Westinghouse TR Quality Management System (QMS), Revision 8.0, to extend the period for supplier audits due to COVID-19 (ADAMS Accession No. ML20132A303).
The NRC staff has completed its review of the approval version of the TR. The NRC staff verified that Westinghouse has met the requirements and determined that the submitted -A versions are acceptable for referencing in licensing applications for nuclear power plants to the extent specified, and under the limitations delineated in the NRC staffs SE and accepted versions of the TR. TR Quality Management System (QMS), Revision 8.0, is now approved for use in future licensing actions.
