Subject:
Anticipated Transient Without Scram (ATWS); 10CFR50.62
Dear Sir:
Seabrook, as a member of the Westinghouse Owners Group (WOG), intends to comply with the requirements of 10CFR50.62, by utilizing one of the ATWS Mitigating System Actuating Circuitry (AMSAC) design packages provided in the WOG's generic AMSAC design package submittal [ Reference (c)]. However, the implementation schedule required by 10CFR50.62(d) cannot be determined for Seabrook until after the NRC issues the generic AMSAC design package SER.
Accordingly, we will forward our implementation schedule to the IRC Seabrook Project Manager for concurrence after the NRC issues this SER.
Very truly y urs,
