REPORT NOS. 50-338/85-31 AND 50-339/85-31
On November 4 - December 1, 1985, NRC inspected activities authorized by NRC
Operating License Nos. NPF-4 and NPF-7 for your North Anna facility.
At the
conclusion of the inspection, the findings were discussed with those members of
your staff identified in the enclosed inspection report.
Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report. Within these
areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and
representative records, interviews with personnel, and observation of activities
in progress.
Within-the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were identified.
Your attention is invited to unresolved items identified in the inspection
report. These matters will be pursued during future inspections.
You are requested to confirm your commitment to modify your procedures to
require multiple lifts of main. steam safety valves when conducting setpoint
verification as described in paragraph nine of the enclosed inspection report.
