REPORT NC, 50-424/85-51
On October 21-25, 1985, NRC inspected activ: ties associated with your application
for an NRC license for the Vogtle facility.
This inspection was conducted as
part of the NRC review of Readiness Review Module 2, Operations Training and
Qualification. At the conclusion of the inspection, the findings were discussed
with those members of your staff identified in the enclosed inspection report.
Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report. Within these
areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and
representative records, interviews with personnel, and observation of activities
in progress.
Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were identified.
Findings were identified during this inspection which are addressed as inspector
folicwup items in the enclosed inspection report. The nature of the majority of
these firdings (specifically, 424-85-52-01 through 12, 15, 17, 23, 26, 31 through
33, and 36) indicates significant administrative deficiencies in your training
program which should have been resolved at this stage of your program develop-
ment. To finalize conclusions and issue a readiness review report for modele 2,
it is necessary that we understand your assessment of these findings and your
action to resolve them.
Consequently, a response to this letter is requested
which addresses each of the inspector followup items delineated above.
To
support the current schedule for completion of NRC review of module 2, this
response is requested by December 30, 1985.
