SUMMARY
- V0GTLE FACILITY - DOCKET N05. 50-424 This refers to the management meeting conducted at your request in the NRC Region II Office on November 25, 1985. This meeting was held to brief the NRC on the Vogtle Readiness Review Module entitled " Structural Steel" and the two appendices entitled " Document Control" and " Material Control."
It is our opinion that this meeting was beneficial and provided a comprehensive overview of the Vogtle Readiness Review Program and, specifically, the module and appendices presented. This in-depth presentation will better enable the NRC to conduct its evaluation of these documents.
With respect to your proposal regarding a program review of the Vogtle Readiness Review Pilot Program, we concur that such a review would be beneficial. We will contact you in the near future to schedule this meeting and to develop a mutually agreeable agenda.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
Should you have any questions concerning these matters, we will be pleased to discuss them.
