This refers to the inspection conducted by Messrs. M. E. Skow and C. C. Harbuck
of this office during the period September 23-27, 1985, of activities authorized.
by NRC Operating License NPF-40 for River Bend Station, and to the discussion
of our findings with Mr. Cahill and other members of your staff at the conclu-

sion of the inspection.
Areas examined during 1he inspection included followup of various open items
and license conditions for possible closure. Within these areas, the inspection
consisted of selective examination of procedures and representative records,
interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspectors. These findings
are documented in the enclosed inspection report.

Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were
