By letter dated February 6, 1996, as supplemented January 15, 1997, you submitted Relief Request (RR)95-050, Revision 1, relating to inspection of the core flood nozzle-to-vessel welds. With technical assistance from our j
contractor, the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory (INEL), we have reviewed and evaluated your ' submittal. Based on our review, we have concluded that a
your RR is authorized by law and will not endanger life or property, or the common defense and security, and is otherwise in the public interest given due consideration to the burden that could result if the requirements were imposed i
on your facility.
Therefore, relief is granted pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55a(g)(6)(i). Our evaluation and conclusions are contained in Enclosure 1.
