the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the towns of Amesbury, Merrimac, Newbury, j
Newburyport, Salisbury, and West Newbury, fully participated in this exercise. The final exercise report was prepared.by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region I staff.

There were no Deficiencies. In New Hampshire 24 Areas Requiring Corrective Action (ARCA)-
l were identified and in Massachusetts eight ARCAs were identified during the September 18,1996, l
exercise. FEMA Region I staff will monitor the. status of corrective actions.
Based on' the results of the September 18, 1996, exercise, the offsite radiological emergency response plans and preparedness for the State of New Hampshire, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the affected local jurisdictions, site-specific to the Seabrook Nuclear Power Station, can be implemented ed are adequate to provide reasonable assurance that appropriate measures can be taken offsite to protect the health and safety of the public in the event of a radiological emergency at the site.
