Dear Administrative Judges:

During the October 23, 1985, conference call the Licensing Board Chairman indicated that the Board intended to issue a decision early next week regarding several matters, including Applicants' Motion for Reconsideration of the Board's December 18, 1984, Memorandum (Reopening Discovery; Misleading Statement). As the Board is aware, action regarding Applicants' motion was suspended by the Board pending receipt of certain material from Applicants. That material concerned two topics:

(1) the representativeness of U-bolt support configurations employed in Applicants' tests and (2) corrections to Applicants' affidavits supporting the motions for summary disposition regarding piping and support design.

This is to inform the Board that Applicants intend to file that material. Applicants have withheld transmitting this material to the Board pending review of certain topics being addressed under the CPRT program. If the Board believes this 8510:200514 ADOCK O 05 45 PDR pp G

information would assist it in its disposition of Applicants' motion, Applicants can file promptly the material presently available, which reflects the substantial port on of our efforts. To the extent certain information it not yet available, Applicants would so indicate i th'.ir filings.
