This procedure is being provided to assist you in responding to the numerous questions being addressed to the NRC Staff with respect to unloading a TN-40 cask at Prairie Island.
Please be aware that while procedure D95.2 controls the cask handling activities necessary to unload a TN-40 spent fuel storage cask, it is only one of the procedures necessary to safely unload a cask. D95.2 is used in conjunction with several other site procedures, such as those controlling fuel handling, heavy loads, and radiation protection. Also, several Preventative Maintenance and Surveillance Procedures are ;
used in the unloading of a TN-40 cask.
