Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station (PVNGS)
Units 1,2, and 3 Docket Nos. STN 50-528/529/530 Security Training and Qualification Plan, Revision 12A Enclosed please find three copies of the amended Revision 12 to the Security Training and Qualification Plan. Two copies of this amended Training and Qualification Plan (numbered 12A) are also being submitted to the Regional Administrator, NRC Region IV pursuant to 10 CFR 50.4 (b)(4),10 CFR 50.54(p)(2) and in reply to the reference above.
Revision 12A to the Security Training and Qualification Plan includes (as an attachment) a detailed description of the Physical Agility Test Program, similar to Revision 11 of the plan. Also, the revised plan clarifies the training requirements for Security Shift Team Leaders and Contract Security Personnel, clarifies the granting of extensions to training and qualification requirements, and includes title changes resulting from recent organizational restructuring.
Revision 12A to the Security Training and Qualification Plan was reviewed in accoroance with 10 CFR 50.54 and NRC Generic Letter 95-08 and does not decrease the safeguards effectivenesa of the Plan or the overall level of security system performance.
APS has determined the Security Training and Qualification Plan is a proprietary document subject to the controls of 10 CFR 2.790(d). Accordingly, the enclosures should be withheld from public disclosure and should not be placed in the Public Document
