SCE Response To NRC Seismic Questions I
Dear Mr. Fields,
i I just recieved from SCE their response to NRC Seismic Questions about SONGS.
- 1. Thank you, or whoever was responsible for taking this action.
It shows that NRC trying to get to the bottom of this very difficult i
situation and assess these serious risks.
- 2. Very good questions, and an excellent start. Who should I discuss these l
questions with? Could I get a copy of NRC's letter to SCE?
I have a brief rebuttal to send to the questioner et al.

I am preparing a draft of the introduction to my seismic report.
J Should I send you this draft, or wait till the report is complete?
- 4. This draft raises a number of points that could be the basis of further questions to SCE,-while work continues on the report.
- 5. Can I submit questions for your consideration to ask SCE?
- 6. Can I split the petition into two parts. One dealing with the SFP problem and the other dealing with SONGS retrofitting or shutdown?
