A routine safety inspection of your radiation protection program was conducted I
by Mr. H. Bicehouse of this of fice on September 23 - 27, 1985. Our findings
were discussed with Mr. J. Pelletier of your staff at the conclusion of the
inspection on September 27, 1985.
Areas of the radiation protection program examined during the inspection are -
described in the NRC Region I Inspection Report which is enclosed with this
letter. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations
of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel and obser-
vations and measurements made by the inspector.

Within the scope of this inspection, no violations or deviations were observed.
However, several areas of apparent weakness were noted in your radiation pro-
tection program which should be addressed. Those areas were discussed with
your staff and are summarized in the enclosed report.
