We have reviewed your letter from Mr. C. W. Fay to Mr. J. G. Keppler dated October 3,1985 (NRC-85-111) discussing the changes you are making in your procedures for contacting the NRC Operations Officer following the activation of the Point Beach Emergency Plan. Our review has determined that your revised procedures should be adequate to meet all of the NRC's concerns in this matter. We are pleased that you have identified our concerns and satisfactorily responded to them in a timely manner. Because of this we have decided that a meeting to discuss this further is not necessary.
In regards to your recommendation that the NRC actively participate in your next emergency exercise, we agree that this would help ascertain the workability of your procedural changes. We will plan on including some form of NRC participation during the next exercise.
