ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT FOR INDIAN POINT NUCLEAR GENERATING UNIT NO. 2 (TAC NO. M96548)
Dear Mr. Quinn:
The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No.191 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-26 for the Indian Point Nuclear Generating Unit No. 2.
The amendment consists of changes to the Technical Specifications (TSs) in response to your application transmitted by letter dated August 22, 1996, as
- plemented by letter dated March 28, 1997.
The amendment revises Technical Specification Sections 3.3 and 4.5 to allow the deletion of the requirement to utilize sodium hydroxide (Na0H) as an additive in the post accident containment spray system.
A copy of the related Safety Evaluation is enclosed. A Notice of Issus ce will be included in the Commission's next regular biweekly Federal Rechter notice.
