CRITICALITY SAFETY PROGRAM UPDATE This acknowledges ' receipt of your letter of March 27, 1997, transmitting a copy of the second quarterly status report of Combustion Engineering's (CE)
Criticality Safety Program Update (CSPU).
CE's CSPU plan was submitted on September 20, 1996, and is designed to formalize and strengthen CE's nuclear criticality safety program at the Hematite, Missouri site.
In that plan, your committed to submit a progress report of the implementation of the CSPU on a quarterly basis.
We are pleased to know from your March letter that the progress on the CSPU is essentially on' schedule and we look forward to discussing your progress on April 22, 1957, in Region III.
Your cooperation in keeping us informed of the progress of.he CSPU is appreciated.
