Radiation Protection Officer - tRC Licenses SrN 182 and 31-13372-ole As a result of Mr. Clayton Spangenberg's retirement, effective July 1, 1985, the Radiation Protection Officer duties at the Westinghouse Industrial and Goven nent Tube Division in Horseheads, NY will be assumed by Mr. Vincent J. Santilli. We request that you change your records accordingly.
Mr. Santilli has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from I
the Catholic. University of America and a Master of Science degree in Engineering Science from Buffalo thiversity. He has been receiving full-time on-the-job training from Mr. Spangenberg since April 8, 1985.
Currently, Mr. Santilli is attending a one week Westinghouse Radiological Education Maintenance Program. The purpose of this program is to help keep radiation worker exposure.as-low-as-reasonably-achievable. This course is designed to educate, qualify, and certify nuclear industry personnel in the radiation and protection discipline.
In addition, we are reviewing health physics courses offered at various institutions and will enroll Mr.
Santilli in a suitable one asisoon asEpossible.
