This letter refers to the routine resident safety inspection conducted by
Mr. John A. Berry, January 1 - 31, 1986, at the Shoreham Nuclear Power Station,
Wading River, New York.
The inspection consisted of observations of activities,
interviews with personnel and document reviews.
The results of the inspection
are described in the NRC Region I Inspection Report enclosed with this letter
and were discussed with members of your staff at the conclusion of the
inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosures
will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
