REPORT NO. 50-424/85-36
On September 30 - October 4,1985, NRC inspected activities authorized by NRC
Construction permit No. CPPR-108 for your Vogtle facility. At the conclusion of
the inspection, the findings were discussed with those members of your staff
identified in the enclosed inspection report.
Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report. Within these
areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and
representative records, interviews with personnel, and observation of activities
in progress.
Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were identified.
Your attention is invited to unresolved items identified in the inspection
report.
These matters will be pursued during future inspections.
At your request, a management meeting was conducted in the NRC Region II office
on October 21, 1985. The meeting was held to discuss NRC inspection findings
documented in the enclosed inspection report.
The details of this meeting are
addressed within paragraph 10 of the enclosed inspection report as a meeting
summary.
If your understanding of the assessment of the problem or committed
corrective actions is different frot that detailed in the meeting summary, please
advise us no later than December 2, 1985.
