Attachment Analysis of the scope of the vendor manual control project has led to a further, more detailed definition of the three phases originally described.
1.
OPPD believes that for manuals received prior to June 1,1985, vendor manual indexing will be completed by February 28, 1986. This indexing constitutes the cataloging of copies of the manuals for entry into the Computerized History and Maintenance Planning System (CHAMPS).
2.
OPPD has developed procedures for controlling new manuals as they are received. This procedure is in effect at this time. The bulk of the new manuals will be received following the refueling outage along with the site completion reports for the refueling outage modifications. This new manual review examines manuals for their applicability to site speci-fic operations and maintenance procedures. This review process also in-volves the updating of site specific procedures according to information obtained during the review of the vendor manuals.
3.
The selection of the master file should be complete by August 1,1986.
This master file will consist of most recent revisions of manuals re-ceived prior to June 1,1985. Master file selection entails examining the computer data from the indexing effort and selecting the most current version of each vendor manual.
4.
A verification of manual revision number and its applicability to Fort Calhoun Station equipment via vendor contacts is expected to be completed for the first time by January 1,1987. At this time, a periodic review program will be in force to routinely contact the vendors for verifica-tion of the revision number of manuals. The date given above depends upon the rate with which vendors reply to OPPD's inquiries.
5.
The final vendor manual review, for manuals received prior to June 1, 1985, should be completed prior to June 1,1987. This review is the same as that performed on the new manuals and involves the updating and review of site specific procedures.
